Week 10 Check In

Another week has come and gone….and so have a few more pounds and inches!!

So let’s recap…

Starting Dieting Weight: 321.4 lbs
Starting truVISION weight: 308.8 lbs
Last weeks weight: 277 lbs

And this weeks weight: 273.6 lbs

That means I’m down another 3.4 lbs!!

That brings my truVISION total to 35.2 lbs!

My overall weight loss right now is at …

47.8 lbs!!!

That’s almost the weight of my 4 yr old daughter. How crazy is that?!

The inches are nothing to sneeze at either.

I didn’t take measurements before I started dieting (which I still kick myself for), but I took them when I started truVISION, so at least I know how far I’ve come since then.

Starting measurements: 489.7 inches
Last weeks measurements: 450.2 inches
This weeks measurements: 447.5 inches

My overall inches lost are….

42.2 inches!!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I would not have been able to do this without truVISION. It’s why I failed the last time I tried dieting. With the help of this supplement, I’m not nearly as hungry as I used to be. I don’t crave things like I used.

I also want to include an update on my husband – he’s been taking truVISION for about 2 weeks now. He just weighed himself last night and is down 7 lbs!! My husband is one of the biggest non-believers I’ve ever met, so for him to be following the Keto diet and taking truVISION is a miracle in itself, but for both of us to be losing weight is AMAZING!!!

My goal is to hit the 50 lbs mark by Christmas. I’ve got this!!!! One thing that was pointed out to me is how confident I’ve become. So I’ve not only lost weight and inches but I’ve GAINED confidence. And I’m no where near done. I’ve got a long way to go, but I’m going to do it.

Week 9 Check In

Week 9 already?! Where has the time gone? It’s already over 2 months into my truVISION journey. So, where am I at as of today?

My weight today: 277 lbs
My inches today: 450.2 inches

Still such a long way to go, but I’ve come so far already.

When I started doing Keto last year, I had such a hard time sticking to it. As soon as I’d ‘cheat’ and fall off the wagon, it was a constant roller coaster trying to stay on, falling off, back on, and off again. I started at 321.4 lbs, lost some weight, put some back on.

This time when I started at 308.8 lbs, I added truVISION in. I’ve been able to stick to my diet 99% of the time. When I do decide to splurge that 1%, I have no problems going right back to my Keto ways. I know in large part it’s because of truVISION.

Since last year, I’ve lost 44.4 lbs, and 31.8 lbs of that are just in the last 9 weeks. I wish I would have measured when I started the Keto journey last year, but I didn’t, so I only know what I’ve lost in the last 9 weeks which is 39.5 inches. I have never measured on a diet before, but I’m so glad I started. It really helps with those NSV!!

Some days when I don’t see the scale move, it can be so discouraging! That’s when it is so important to remember those non scale victories (NSV). Those pants falling off your butt? Shirts fit a little looser? Finding it easier to bend over? Those are amazing NSV’s you can see on a day to day basis.

Just remember, IF I CAN DO IT, SO YOU CAN YOU!!
You can do it.jpg

Starting weight: 321.4 lbs
truVISION start: 308.8 lbs
Lost w/ truVISION: 31.8 lbs
Total Lost: 44.4 lbs

truVISION inches start: 489.7 inches
Lost w/ truVISION: 39.5 inches

Week 8 Check-In

8 Weeks have gone by already since starting truVISION. It’s hard to believe that much time has gone by already, and how far I’ve come in that amount of time!

Here’s where I stand as of today:

Starting weight: 308.8 lbs
Last check-in weight: 283.8 lbs
This weeks check-in: 279.0 lbs
Scale 11:18
Loss since last check in: 4.8 lbs (not bad considering I cheated all last weekend in the Dells!!)
Total loss since starting truVISION: 29.8 lbs!

That means since I started Keto, I’m down a total of 42.4 lbs since I started living a Keto lifestyle.

I wish I would have measured myself before I initially started Keto so I knew exactly how much I’ve lost, but what I’ve lost since starting truVISION is nothing to sneeze at!

Starting inches: 489.7 inches
Last check- in inches: 460.6 inches
This weeks check-in: 453.1 inches

So I’m down 7.5 inches!! WOW!! That brings my total inches lost to 36.6 inches!! I’ve definitely noticed my pants are looser and clothes that otherwise didn’t fit and I feel like I’m looking good!! Yes, I still have a LONG ways to go – but I’ve got a heck of a good start.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t have made it this far without the help of truVISION. I did Keto last year and it didn’t last very long. It worked well when I did it, but I still had cravings, was hungry, etc. I ended up gaining back most of what I lost.

Once I started taking truVISION, Keto has gone SO much better for me. My appetite is a lot less than what it was. It has really helped my entire attitude towards it too! And – the biggest surprise – my HUSBAND has jumped on board with me! I think seeing his wife lose 40 lbs has changed his attitude towards it. So now he follows a Keto diet and is taking truVISION as well!

Like I always say, if I can do it – so can you!

Keeping it Keto – An Example of a Low Carb Day

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get burned out on eating the SAME things over and over and over. And I can’t figure out WHAT to eat. So I thought I would share an example of what I might eat on a normal day to show you just how EASY it can be to eat Keto.

When starting my day, I LOVE to have a coffee. My favorite is Java Momma . They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and even some Keto friendly chocolate and more! You can sign up for subscription boxes, or just order a bag or two. They’ve got some pretty amazing flavors – check out what they have for the November box:
java mommaI pick the flavor I’m in the mood for (and I have about 10 flavors at any given time) – brew a cup or a even a whole pot in my Ninja Coffee Maker, add in my favorite sugar free syrup, and a splash of heaving whipping cream.

Once I get to work, I might have a little breakfast (unless I’m doing a fast). Today I had a super-yummy-I-can’t-even-tell-it’s-Keto cookie for breakfast. This morning I ate a double chocolate Know Better Cookie which had only 3 net carbs!

I really should have eaten it as a dessert, but a dessert can be breakfast too, can’t it? Sure – why not?! It was REALLY Good! But I will say, if you don’t like the taste/texture of coconut, you may wan to pass on this. I personally love coconut, so I was in heaven with this. Plus it was filling – win/win! I also take my first dose of truVISION right now too. This helps me feel full, curb appetite/cravings, and improves my focus.

For lunch, I usually have something that was leftover. Today, it was some leftover chili along with some shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Go here for my chili recipe. Here’s where I’ll take my second dose of truVISION as well.
chili

I usually don’t eat much between meals anymore, so I don’t eat anything until I have supper. For this particular day, I had a pork roast in the Crock-Pot and ate some steamed broccoli and cauliflower with a little butter and cheese. Using the pork ‘juice’, I made a little Keto friendly gravy to put on top. My husband, who is eating Carnivore Keto, just eats the meat and some local cheese. He is very anti-veggies!
Pork and veggies dinner

And the best part – DESSERT! How about zero carb, sweet dessert?? Ask and you shall receive! If you head over to Smart Baking Co, they have 5 different flavors of cupcakes and they are ZERO carbs each! They have cinnamon, chocolate, tangerine, lemon, and coconut. They are so good, I can’t pick just one for my favorite! The flavor and texture are so good, you wouldn’t know they are Keto. You can even top it with a little whipping cream (or Keto friendly ice cream!). You can get 10% off your order at Smart Baking Co by using promo code CSBOURQUIN during checkout. I suggest stocking up because these aren’t going to last long!!

So let’s see a break down of the days’s carbs:

Java Momma w/ sugar free syrup & splash of HWC: 0 carbs
Know Better Cookie Double Chocolate: 3 net carbs
Bowl of chili w/ sour cream and shredded cheese: 6 net carbs
Pork roast w/ broccoli & cauliflower, butter, and cheese: 3 net carbs
Smart Baking Co cupcake: 0 carbs

Total for the day – 12 net carbs. According to my Keto diet app, I’m actually allowed 24, so I could have double what I did! But I’m quite happy with my 12 carbs for the day. If I can do it, so can you!

Week 6 Check In

This week was a very eventful one! Aside from being week 6 of my truVISION journey, it was my daughters 4th birthday party! Birthday parties typically entail cake and ice cream – which are loaded with carbs and sugar! That would definitely NOT be good and potentially halt the progress I’ve been making, if not set me back.

So the best thing you can do when you have an event coming up is PREPARE! I knew we were planning on having pizza, ice, cream, and cake – all of which I was not going to be able to eat. To resist being tempted, I made sure to have plenty of things I COULD eat.

This included:
* Pickle roll ups
* Meat and Cheese tray (skip the crackers)
* Veggie tray (cauliflower and broccoli are the best choices here)
* Pistashios
* And best of all – Pumpkin Bars w/ Cream Cheese Frosting

It goes to show how a little planning can go a long way – instead of splurging on ‘bad’ food and then gaining this week, here’s how it turned out:

Starting Weight: 308.8 lbs
Last Weeks Weight: 291 lbs
This Weeks Weight: 283.8 lbs
Loss this week: 7.2 lbs!!!! WOW!!! I was so amazed!!
That means I’m down 25 lbs since 9/21/18. It’s amazing!

I’m also thrilled with the inches I’ve lost too –

Starting Inches: 489.7 inches
Last Weeks Inches: 466.4 inches
This Weeks Inches: 460.6 inches
Loss This Week: 5.8 inches
Which means…. I’m down 29.1 inches!!!

I lost a few lbs doing Keto before I started truVISION (although it was so much more difficult for me to stay on it AND keep it off), but total I’m down 37.6 lbs from this time last year!! I’ve got a long ways to go, but I know with the help of truVISION I know I’ll get there!

Here are some pictures of her amazing cake, some of her friends, and some family! (And my Keto pumpkin bars!)

Week 5 Check In

Well, I survived a girls night out and still made progress this week! I didn’t get my weekly check in up on Sunday like I normally do since I wasn’t home, but here it is now!!

This week flew by as they all seem to do and I was a little nervous about going out to dinner and a movie with a friend and then having a vendor event all day the next day. One thing that really helped is I prepared ahead of time. I knew where we were going to go to eat, so I looked up the menu online to figure out what my Keto friendly options were so it made it easier to pick something to eat that night.

For the vendor event, I again prepared ahead of time and took some keto friendly snacks with me from my Keto Krate. Being prepared saved me from a lot of temptations (like the double chocolate brownies) at the event. Instead, to curb a sweet tooth, I ate some sugar free Hemp Brittle from Curly Girlz Candy. You’d never know it’s sugar free!

So after all that, here was my results:

Starting Weight: 308.8 lbs
Last week check-in: 292.8 lbs
This week check-in: 291.0 lbs
Loss for the week: 1.8 lbs
Overall loss since 9/21: 17.8 lbs

Starting overall inches: 489.7 inches
Last week check-in: 468.7 inches
This week check in: 466.4 inches
Loss for the week: 2.3 inches
Overall loss since 9/21: 23.3 inches

That’s pretty impressive for only 5 weeks!! I wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of truVISION. It’s such a simple program. Just two pills, twice a day! Can’t wait to see what next week brings! The 280’s are so close I can almost taste it!

Week 4 Check In

It’s now been 4 weeks since I returned to Keto and started on truVISION and I’m feeling great! I’ve still got a long ways to go, but I feel I’m off to a good start.

With being on a ‘special diet’ you can get burned out on what you’re eating sometimes, or just want to grab something ‘easy’ to eat – but of course that doesn’t fit in the plan and can actually set you back. This week, my only struggle was that I ate corn for dinner one night. Yep, corn. Normally that doesn’t sound like a bad thing, but when you are on Keto, the carbs in corn are NOT a good thing. I think I would have lost more weight this week if I had just skipped that one, but I thought a little wouldn’t hurt – next time, I’ll pick another vegetable!

So that being said, I did still lose this week, just not as much weight as I hoped – but the inches – WOW. I remeasured some areas 4 times because I didn’t believe it. This is why I tell people they should measure as well! I was disappointed with the scale not going down more, but something was still happening, because the inches are falling off!

Here’s the breakdown:

Starting Weight: 308.8 lbs
Last Weeks Weight: 293.8 lbs
Current Weight: 292.8 lbs
Total lost: 16 lbs!

Starting Inches: 489.7 inches
Last Weeks Inches: 478.5 inches
Current Inches: 468.7 inches
Total lost: 21 inches!

I wanted to do my update pictures in the same shirt, but of course I couldn’t find it today, so I had to use another one. I’ll update this post if I can find the shirt soon 🙂

I know I couldn’t do this on my own. truVISION has helped immensely. It doesn’t give me as much energy as it does to others, but it has helped a ton with my cravings and appetite. I haven’t had pop in weeks. I don’t crave snacks like I used to and I’m full after eating one small portion of food instead of taking a large portion and then having seconds! With truVISION and an amazing support group on my side, I know I can do it this time! I’d love to help others achieve their goals as well, so contact me today if you are interested in joining me.

Week 3 Check In

I’ve now been on TruVision for 3 weeks. It has been one of the easiest weight loss programs I’ve ever been on and the weight just falls off. I’m still recovering from surgery, so I haven’t been able to work out AT ALL yet. It’s pretty impressive when you can lose weight while being laid up.

This week was not as difficult since there weren’t any special events to have to prepare for or attend. You don’t realize how non diet friendly food is at get-togethers until you are watching what you eat. If I’m lucky, most of them only have some veggies or fruit tray. And most fruit is not low carb, it’s not an ideal choice for me – so that basically leaves just veggies. Not exactly a big variety!

And how for the results:

Starting Weight: 308.8 lbs
Current Weight: 293.8 lbs
Loss to date: 15 lbs!

Starting overall inches: 489.7 inches
Current overall inches: 478.5 inches
Loss to date: 11.2 inches!

Not to shabby for starting on 9/21 with TruVision. I’ve had way less cravings (hardly any actually) and my appetite is very decreased from what it used to be. Sometimes I actually have to remind myself to eat because I’m just not really hungry. Fingers crossed next week will be just as good! Don’t take my word for it, try TruVision for yourself!

TruVision

Chocolate PB Coconut No Bake Cookies Low Carb, KETO, and Kid Approved!

When you change your eating habits from ‘normal’ and have a family, it can be difficult finding things everyone (or at least most of the family) will eat. I’ve basically made it a mission to find things I love, that are Keto/low carb (since I’m a dirty Keto-er), AND that the family will eat.

Pinterest is my go-to for searching for recipes if I don’t come up with something on my own. The majority of the time, I rely on other things I find since I don’t have time for trial and error in the kitchen . I just make my own tweaks/modifications to fit in with what our family likes.

This recipe only has 5 ingredients and it’s basically of dumping and stirring. Can’t get much easier than that!

Start by combining the peanut butter, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and melted butter in a bowl. Stir until well combined.

Once that is all mixed together, toss in the coconut and mix well.

Place scoops on baked sheet lined with parchment paper or Silicone Baking Mat . Gently press out slightly. Freeze and then enjoy! Keep stored in freezer.

Tip: If you like things a little sweeter, add in a little Keto approved sweetener. I like to use Lakanto Monkfruit 2:1 Powder Sugar Substitute :
Sweetener

Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups creamy peanut butter (Natural)
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder Unsweetened
2 cups Unsweetened Flake Coconut
2 tbsp butter, melted
(If you want the extra sweetness, add 1/2 – 1 tsp sweetener)

Instructions:
Get your cookie sheet ready by putting a piece of parchment paper or silicone mat on it. As you can see by my pictures, I like to use the Amazon Silpat mat.

Dump all ingredients except coconut in a bowl and stir until mix. Add in coconut and stir until thoroughly combined. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and gently smooth with  back of spoon or scoop. I like to use cookie scoops, it keeps it more uniform.

Freeze for a minimum 30 minutes, then transfer to ziplock bag or container.

Enjoy!

Comment below if you make them and what you think! They give a nice texture and peanut butter is just delicious!

Week 2 Check In

I’m now checking in at the end of week 2. This week was little tougher as it was my nieces first birthday party and parties usually mean non-healthy food and sweet treats choc full of sugar and carbs. I also had a vendor event I participated in with no carry in food allowed, so I couldn’t make something and take it, I had to get something there.

Both of these are not every day occurrences, but they do happen frequently. Times like this can make it easy to fall off the ‘diet’ and it takes a a good amount of self control to steer clear of all the temptations.

I, for one, am not always able to resist. My sister in law is a darn good baker and she made some homemade butterscotch (my fav!) bars, brownies, and chocolate muffins for my sweet nieces 1 year birthday party.

Desserts.jpg

Thankfully, we got to the party late so most of the stuff was picked over, but she had loads of dessert left. She cut the butterscotch bars pretty small, so I did treat myself to one and it was a perfect mix of sweet and salty.

butterscotch bars

I did feel a little guilt for eating it, but it was SO good. And I haven’t had any cheats since I started. I was worried how it was going to impact my check in today though. When I stepped on the scale, I hadn’t lost as much as I was hoping, but it was still down, so that’s a win!

Starting Weight: 308.8 lbs
Current Weight: 297.2 lbs
Total lost: 11.6 lbs

Starting Total Inches: 489.7
Current Inches: 481
Total Inches Lost: 8.7

I’m far from where I want to be, but I’m headed in the right direction. And I know the TruVision I take is helping me. I do not have the cravings I used to, I don’t snack like I used it, and I certainly don’t eat the portions I used to. You can feel free to give it a try by going here: http://yabboutique.truvisionhealth.com/trynow

I have tried so many diet/weight loss/health products over the years, but this combined with a healthier diet is definitely helping. This is also WITHOUT doing any exercise. I’m currently laid up from foot surgery, so I can’t be as active as I would like to be right now. I’m proof that just because you can’t be physically active, doesn’t mean you can’t lose weight. Your diet is a big part of the battle.

If I can do it, so can you!

Here is me and the sweet birthday girl (daddy was trying to bribe her with pizza to smile at the camera) and my brothers, my sister in law, niece, and me. As you can see, I come from a family that tends to be overweight, we have all struggled with it our entire lives. Hopefully if they see my success with this product, I can help them be healthier as well!

Feel free to share your thoughts below! I love to hear from you 😉
